Offer V
The threat is gone. Your body has not gotten the message yet.
Why I can do this
"I came out the other side. My body had not."
I have been through toxic relationships and violence. What I found once I came out the other side was that the threat was gone, but my body had not gotten the message. Stuck nervous system. A sexuality that had frozen. Tension with being touched. A body that had learned to brace, and forgotten it was allowed to stop.
The after-place is its own kind of difficult. You are not in danger anymore. But you are still living in the body that was. The vigilance that kept you safe does not know it can rest. Sensation returns slowly, or not at all, or in ways that confuse you. Desire is complicated. Touch can feel like threat. Intimacy asks for something you do not know how to give yet.
I know this terrain from the inside. Not as a case study. As a body I had to come back to.
What this is
You have left. Or it ended. You are safe now, at least externally. But something inside is still braced. Still scanning. Still waiting for something to go wrong.
This is not a trauma therapy and it is not a replacement for clinical support. It is accompaniment in the in-between. The place after survival and before full inhabitation of yourself. Where the work is not processing what happened, but returning to the body that went through it. Slowly, at your pace, without forcing anything.
I work with people who are no longer in the situation but still feel the residue of it in their body. In how they relate to touch, desire, intimacy, and their own sense of safety. People who want to come back to themselves and are not sure how.
The tools
Coming back to a body that learned to freeze takes time and gentleness. Nothing is forced. Nothing is prescribed. We follow what the body can hold in this session, and we stop there.
A body that learned to brace needs help remembering it is allowed to soften. We work at the level of sensation: noticing, titrating, slowly expanding the window of what feels safe.
Surfacing the beliefs formed inside the experience: about what you deserve, what love feels like, what is safe to want. These run underneath the surface long after the situation ends.
The energy body holds impact that the physical body cannot always name. Pranic work clears what has accumulated and supports the gradual return of ease and flow.
Learning to recognise what your system is doing and offer it something different. Practical tools for when the alarm goes off in a body that is no longer in danger.
Desire that froze. Touch that became complicated. Intimacy that carries the weight of what happened. We work gently with what went dormant and what needs to be relearned.
Marking thresholds. Releasing what no longer belongs to you. Some of this work happens below language. Ritual gives it a form the body can recognise.
